Holy cow. Okay, first of all, the name. Sweat16? Someone tell me they’re a project group cheering for the Olympics or soccer or some sort of sporting event and that’s not, like going to be their permanent name for a permanent group? Because maybe it’s just me, but the name “sweat” doesn’t sound that appealing if it has nothing to do with sports or exercise. If sports/exercise is going to be their permanent theme, and all their songs to be upbeat motivational cheer songs, then it would be cute ^^ But otherwise they might want to rethink that. Second, these girls aren’t Japanese, right (otherwise their pronunciation is the best I’ve heard yet from a Japanese singer singing Thai!)? They’re Thai, right? And just marketed by a Japanese branch of the label (Yoshimoto Etertainment, I see)? Because wow, this is some bubbly, techno-y Jpop if I ever heard it haha. But the lyrics are nice and motivational, and the song is catchy~ Maybe it’ll have a cute music video with Japanese-style choreography to go with it (Para para, please?)
